Locus tag searches only work with the more recent locus tag identifiers from the T. cruzi CL-Brener genome (e.g. Tc00.1047053504163.40). Older locus identifiers (4940.t00004) have been deprecated and are not used in TcSNP. This is an exact match search (incomplete identifiers will not retrieve any record).
Accession numbers searches will retrieve sequences included in TcSNP that were obtained from GenBank but that are not derived from the CL-Brener genome (ESTs, mRNAs, genomic). This is also an exact match search.
Keyword searches allow the use of boolean operators: & (AND), | (OR), and ! (NOT). You can also use parentheses to build complex expressions, as in: "(kinase | phosphatase) & !hypothetical"
Number of aligned sequences allows you to search for genes that are contained in alignments with a certain number of sequences. This might help you, for example, to select genes with a minimum sequence coverage.
Number of aligned reference CDSs allows you to limit your search to genes that are contained in alignments with a user-specified number of coding sequences from the reference CL-Brener genome. This might help you, for example, to select only those alignments containing only 2 allelic variants from the reference genome (i.e. single copy genes).
